Development Coordinator

Development Coordinator SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Manage Operations for SCO Major Gifts Program (60%) o Responsible for management of department's Top Prospect Report which tracks all sources of major gifts: Individual, Foundation, and Corporate o Updates Top Prospect Report weekly by keeping Raiser's Edge prospect data current and then running reports o Schedules and attends the regularly scheduled Major Gifts Strategy Meeting (every other week) to track major gifts progress by key staff who are meeting with the prospects o Communicates regularly with Director of Institutional Advancement, Associate Director Individual and Corporate Giving, and Assistant Director of Institutional Giving about their personal portfolios of Prospects and keeps all moves current in RE and on the Top Prospect Report o Tracks monthly major gifts activity by above-mentioned staff o Facilitates gift and pledge documentation and stewardship as appropriate o Preparing briefing materials for upcoming prospect meetings o Conducting research on major gift prospects 2. Facilitate the creation of a comprehensive, annual Development Plan with the two Assistant Directors. (15%) 3. Support Management and Operations (20%) o Build strong relationships within Development, Communications, Programs and Operations o Facilitate Board and Development Committee update preparation o Participate in staff meetings and retreats o Document information obtained in outside training and other events o Participate in and attend fundraising and other program events o Other duties as required 4. Support the Development Team during preparation for special events including Shepherds' Gala, Fashion Event and Golf Outing, etc. (5%) Event responsibilities include: (assigned by Events Development Team) o Pitching in on event preparation prior to events o Attending events to staff various event functions o Other event details and responsibilities as needed   Qualifications   o Bachelor's Degree required o Minimum 5 years experience in a professional setting; minimum 2 years work experience in a non-profit setting o Fundraising skills including relationship-building with different constituencies, excellent attention to detail and the ability to think strategically and creatively o Understanding and appreciation for systems and promoting institutional memory o Comfort interacting with High Net Worth Individuals and Board of Directors o Excellent social and interpersonal skills and comfort speaking in public o Be a flexible, skilled problem-solver and self-starter o Sense of humor o Ability to work interactively and collaborate as a team o Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, database and internet applications, Raisers Edge preferred o A commitment to working with children and families and to SCO's mission In addition, employees need to possess the following characteristics: o Be team players o Understand and uphold SCO values: have a strong sensitivity to cultural differences present among staff and clients within our organization o High work ethic and commitment to professional development o Ability to collaborate and commitment to creating a positive work environment o Accountability for development goals 34525

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
